THE SECRETARY,
With reference to your letter No. 902565/29/
D.D.C.A. of the 30th August and connected correspondence
regarding the development of civil aviation in Hong
Kong, I am directed by Lord Passfield to state, for the
information of the air Council, that he has approved
the following votes in the Hong Kong Estimates for
1930:-
Annual Jubsidy to Flying Club, $30,000
Initial Grant to Flying Club, 460,000.
2. The Governor has explained that the Club will
follow the general lines of the Singapore ying Club
with the added proviso that members of the Hong Kong
Volunteer Defence Corps shall receive free instruction.
The proposed secretary is Mr Vaughan Fowler, Manager of
the
AIR MINISTRY.
